10/28: 新法律 Check 21 Under new law, floating checks no longer float 曾經在貸款期限最後一天寄出支票, 儘管自己銀行帳戶裡並沒有足夠的錢(錢要晚個一兩天才會到.) 反正也知道一兩天後銀行收到支票, 還要再花一兩天把支票寄到自己銀行, 最後自己的銀行才把錢傳送到貸款. 10/28 之後, 這個方式就再也行不通了. 10/28 之後, 收到支票的銀行可以立即使用電傳的方式, 而不需要再寄出確認支票, 快快的縮短支票付現的時間. 如果自己銀行帳戶裡真的不夠錢, 就不要開這支票. Don’t write a check unless you have the money in your account. If you discover an error or suspect fraud to your account, ask the bank in writing to recredit your account. Request the bank send you a substitute check. You must have a substitute in hand to get recredited. If you receive canceled checks now, find out whether your bank will be sending you substitute checks instead. Or find out how much it will cost to have a substitute sent to you.
