從電視上看了不少 House Flippers 的節目，知道這些人買舊房子，翻新後以更高的價錢賣出。
西元兩千年，新的鄰居搬來，他們是以三十萬的價錢購入那棟房子。而三年前，鄰居以六十萬的價錢把房子給賣了，購買的人是一對三十出頭的夫妻。
從搬入開始，鄰居開始一點一點的整修房子。從車庫到屋頂，新的外牆和屋頂，翻新的車庫和 Patio，新的浴室和廚房，還外加了一個 Mother-in-Law 的空間，把房子裡裡外外都整個重新的翻修。
昨天回家時，發現他們已經搬走了。幾週前的賣屋廣告上，我們知道求售價是一百二十五萬，今天早上從郡政府網站上查了一下，實際的賣出價是一百三十萬。
這種價錢對我們完全沒有好處，因為附近房子的房價都可能漲到那個程度，這表示未來房屋和土地稅也將跟著上漲。
